Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of the company's outdoor leisure product range, from concept through to production.
- Create clear, detailed drawings, diagrams, and supporting documentation using CAD software (Solidworks and Illustrator).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine designs for manufacturability, assembly, usability, durability, and cost.
- Work directly with suppliers and manufacturing partners to review samples, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure the finished product matches the design intent.
- Keep organised records of design iterations, sample feedback, and testing outcomes.
- Write up engineering change reports to help drive product improvements and support production updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, HND, or equivalent experience in Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Design, or a related engineering/design discipline.
- Confident using CAD software to develop and communicate designs (Solidworks and Illustrator ideal but not essential).
- Solid grounding in product development and design for manufacture, with an interest in creating well-engineered, real-world products.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance creativity, functionality, durability, and manufacturability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
