Overview
We are looking for a driven and commercially focused Business Development Executive to join this Builders Merchant in Kennington. Industry experience is essential as you will play a key role within the business, responsible for delivering sales growth, increasing margins, and strengthening our presence in the local market.
Salary: £44,000 - £46,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm (42.5 hours per week)
Location: Kennington, SE11

Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the builders merchant or construction sector.

Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development: Identify and engage potential customers within the local area. Create tailored proposals and solutions to meet client requirements. Build a strong pipeline through networking, cold outreach, and site visits. Promote the branch’s products and services to increase sales activity and visibility.
- Account Management: Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with existing customers. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring prompt and effective support. Monitor customer satisfaction and take proactive action to resolve issues. Implement strategies to reduce customer churn and enhance loyalty.
- Sales & Margin Growth: Meet and exceed branch sales and margin targets. Stay informed on market trends and competitor movements to identify opportunities. Work closely with the branch team to deliver excellent customer experiences. Develop pricing strategies and negotiate terms to maximise profitability.
