Role Overview: Join a dynamic and fast-paced finance team as an Assistant Management Accountant! You’ll collaborate with the Head of Finance and Management Accountant to shape and improve financial processes across the UK, Eire, and the wider group, aligning them with business goals while driving positive change.

Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts:
- Prepare and deliver UK and Irish accounts & forecasts, providing valuable insights and analysis.
- Review and manage balance sheet reconciliations (cash, intercompany balances, accruals, etc.).
- Keep the fixed asset register up to date, ensuring accurate recording of additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Take charge of cash flow, forecasting, and authorising payments.
- Support the rebate recovery process and provide key analysis.
- Handle National Statistic filings with accuracy.
- Provide valuable KPI analysis to track business and staff performance.
- Assist in reviewing Construction Company Accounts.
- Play a key role in evaluating the viability of new projects.
- Help manage and optimise accounting systems in collaboration with IT teams.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead the change.
- Take ownership of exciting ad-hoc projects and assist with HMRC-related queries.
- Help streamline import/export processes for greater efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with FSC/PEFC reporting standards.
- Lead and support a motivated team of 10 finance staff, encouraging a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Work closely with other departments (payroll, credit control) to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Assist with the annual audit process and related audit journals.
- Manage HMRC inquiries and communications.
- Work with the finance team to adapt to the company’s evolving business needs.
- Share weekly and monthly financial reports with the business to ensure transparency and drive decision-making.
- Develop innovative financial reports and analysis that help guide strategic decisions.
- Lead the development and delivery of an evolving KPI Business Framework that keeps the company moving forward.
