Job Title: 3.5 Tonne Driver Location: West Hampstead, London Hours: 47.25 per week * Monday to Friday: 7:15 am – 5:15 pm * Alternate Saturdays: 7:30 am – 12:30 pm Salary: £30,000 per annum A well-established builders’ merchant is seeking a reliable and experienced 3.5-tonne driver to support daily operations through the safe and timely delivery of building materials across London and surrounding areas. This role plays a key part in ensuring consistent and efficient logistics support to customers and project sites. Note: During the probation period, the role may involve working from the Willesden branch to support training requirements. Benefits: * Annual salary of £30,000 * 20 days holiday plus bank holidays * Free breakfast provided daily * Additional day off on birthday * Pension scheme * Group life assurance * Staff discount scheme * Discounts on major brands, retailers, and events * Company-funded training and safety programmes * Cycle to Work Scheme * Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) * Long service recognition awards Key Responsibilities: * Deliver building materials to customer locations within the M25 and occasionally beyond * Assist with loading and unloading of goods * Keep the delivery vehicle clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained * Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure punctual deliveries * Unload goods safely at delivery destinations * Collect customer signatures and issue invoices upon delivery * Process card payments at point of delivery where required * Maintain accurate delivery records * Return undelivered goods to the appropriate branch Requirements: * Full, clean UK driving licence (essential) * Proven driving experience within London * Strong understanding of road safety and practical driving skills * Good communication skills with a professional, customer-focused attitude * Ability to manage basic paperwork and delivery documentation
