A temporary opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Assistant to join the Homeware Buying team to cover maternity, up to a maximum of 12 months. The individual will work closely with the Buyer and Assistant Buyer and be responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks, ensuring they are completed accurately and on time to support the smooth running of the department.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted on time.
- Working to deadlines, creating and updating internal documentation accurately and communicating completion to the wider team.
- The end-to-end management of samples and supplier images, including:
- Logging, ticketing and packing of samples.
- Filing of images.
- Communicating regular sample tracker updates, both internally and externally.
- Providing colour samples to internal departments as required.
- Keeping the sample room in an orderly manner.
The successful candidate will:
- Enjoy working as a team and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to ad hoc, one-off jobs.
- Have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
- Display accuracy and be thorough when inputting data and checking information.
- Have excellent organisational skills and have a good eye for detail.
- Have experience of Microsoft systems, particularly Excel and Outlook.
