The Role Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing leader to join our Cotton On UK team as a Head of Country Marketing and Communications. Lead UK marketing strategy, translating global brand direction into a digital‑first, ecommerce‑led growth engine across Womens, Mens, Body and Kids. Partner on full‑funnel performance across awareness, acquisition, engagement and retention, balancing brand building with measurable commercial outcomes. Responsible for amplifying localisation of brand marketing executions, internal communication strategies, and corporate media affairs. Act as the link between global strategy and local execution, ensuring campaigns are culturally relevant, customer‑led and deliver impact across digital and retail.
Please note: This is a permanent, full‑time role based at our Support Centre in London, with a hybrid working arrangement. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. This role does not provide visa sponsorship.
Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- 8+ years in marketing, strong in digital and ecommerce‑led environments (fashion preferred)
- Proven track record driving commercial growth through performance marketing
- Strong understanding of paid media, social, CRM and ecommerce optimisation
- Experience working across global and regional structures
- Proven experience leading & developing marketing teams.
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset
- Confident leading cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Proficiency in Office software and digital marketing tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the regional marketing strategy with a digital‑first, ecommerce focus
- Align with global teams across paid media, social, CRM and onsite experience
- Partner with Digital & Trading to optimise traffic, conversion, AOV and frequency
- Drive acquisition, retention and lifetime value across the funnel
- Build scalable, always‑on performance frameworks (UGC, creators, paid social, search)
- Set and track clear KPIs across revenue, customer growth and engagement
- Use data, insights and testing to continuously optimise ROI
- Lead digital‑first, social‑led campaigns that build relevance and cut‑through
- Ensure content is platform‑native, culturally connected and customer‑first
- Balance brand storytelling with performance‑driven content
- Lead PR, earned media and influencer strategy to build brand visibility and credibility
- Oversee community management to ensure consistent, on‑brand engagement
- Translate global strategy into locally relevant UK campaigns and moments
- Ensure consistency across categories with the right local nuance
- Deliver strong execution of global campaigns, product stories and brand moments
- Own the regional customer calendar aligned to trading and global priorities
- Deliver integrated campaigns with speed, clarity and commercial focus
- Lead brand activations and eventing
- Build partnerships with media, talent and brands to drive cultural relevance
- Partner on loyalty and lifecycle strategies to drive retention and repeat purchase
- Deliver co‑branded campaigns and wholesale marketing where relevant
- Identify opportunities to grow customer acquisition through partnerships
- Own the regional marketing budget, balancing brand and performance investment
- Maximise ROI and report on commercial impact to global stakeholders
- Build clear investment cases linked to revenue and customer growth
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team across marketing, content and digital
- Drive accountability, pace and a test‑and‑learn culture
- Create clarity across roles, ways of working and delivery standards
- Manage agency partners to deliver high‑quality, on‑brand output
