Cotteswold Dairy, one of the UK's leading independent family-owned dairies, is seeking a reliable and motivated part-time Delivery Driver to join our Shropshire team. This is a high-intensity, multi-drop milk delivery role, delivering fresh dairy products direct to customers' doors. You'll be the friendly face of our business on the doorstep, providing excellent customer service throughout your round.
The Role
As a Delivery Driver, you'll operate on a set milk round, covering both rural countryside and urban areas. Using handheld technology, you'll process orders, update customer accounts, and manage any payments. You'll load your vehicle with accuracy, secure products for safe travel, and complete deliveries in line with agreed schedules. This is a physically active role involving night shifts, early mornings, and manual handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver milk and dairy products to doorstep customers on time and in full.
- Operate as a milk roundsperson, covering both rural and town delivery routes.
- Use handheld devices to record deliveries, customer orders, and payments.
- Load and unload your delivery vehicle, ensuring all products are secured.
- Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and security procedures.
- Collect empty bottles, returns, and payments where required.
- Maintain your vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition.
What We're Looking For
- Full UK driving licence (standard Category B car licence accepted).
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Physically fit for manual handling in a fast-paced role.
- Comfortable with early morning starts and working nights.
- Reliable, with strong time management and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a delivery driver, milk delivery, or retail role is desirable but not essential; full training will be given.
