Established in 1938, Cotteswold Dairy is one of the UK’s leading independent family‑owned dairies.
We are seeking a skilled Multi‑Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our Engineering Team at our Tewkesbury site.
Salary
Overtime paid at 1.25× after 40 hours.
30 days holiday + company pension.
Shift Pattern (Rotating 2‑Week Rota)
Week 1: Monday to Friday, 0600‑1345 and Saturday, 0600 finish.
Week 2: Monday to Friday, 1345‑2145.
- Call‑Out Rota
- Participate in equipment breakdown call‑out rota.
- Call‑out rota is roughly one week in six.
- Retainer of £100.00 for the week on call.
- £50.00 one‑off payment per call out.
- Hourly rate once clocked in.
The Role
- Respond to breakdowns across production and processing equipment.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
- Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Repair, test and recommission machinery safely.
- Work to strict Health & Safety standards.
- Minimise downtime and support continuous improvement.
- What We’re Looking For
- Electrical bias (minimum 70/30 electrical to mechanical split).
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working on high‑speed / automated machinery.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Experience within an FMCG or fast‑paced production environment.
Qualifications (one of the following or equivalent experience)
- HNC/HND/HNCD Level 4/5 in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
- City & Guilds Level 4/5 Electrical Engineering.
- Equivalent job‑based engineering experience.
