Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and knowledge-rich English lessons.
  • Teach English across the relevant key stages, ensuring excellent progress for all students.
  • Assess, monitor and track student achievement, providing effective feedback to support learning.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and excellent behaviour.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the continual improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Support the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and raise standards.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents and carers to support achievement and wellbeing.
  • Fulfil wider professional responsibilities in line with Teachers' Standards and school expectations.
