Our company, Cotswold Talent Solutions, are recruiting for a Factory Operative on behalf of our client based in the picturesque setting of the Cotswolds! This is a hands-on role which involves all aspects of working in an industrial environment. This role is offering an immediate start and the genuine opportunity to go permanent after a successful trial period!

Pay & Benefits:

  • £12.80 per hour
  • Monday - Friday, 7am-6pm with an early finish on Fridays
  • Weekly pay

The Role:

  • Operate sawmill machinery safely and efficiently
  • Load, position, and secure timber onto cutting equipment
  • Measure, mark, and cut timber to required sizes and specifications
  • Monitor machine performance and report faults or defects
  • Carry out basic machine maintenance and cleaning
  • Sort, stack, and store cut timber correctly
  • Inspect timber for defects, damage, or quality issues
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including use of PPE
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist with manual handling and movement of materials
  • Record production data and complete basic documentation
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and other operatives
  • Comply with environmental and waste management procedures

Requirements:

  • Heavy lifting involved
  • Previous experience within an industrial role
