Our company, Cotswold Talent Solutions are currently recruiting for a Forklift Truck Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our client's busy yard operation based in Royal Wootton Bassett on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for an experienced forklift driver looking for stable, full-time hours in a hands-on, outdoor role. This role is offering an immediate start, and the potential for a permanent position after a successful trial period.

Pay & Benefits

  • £26,251 per year as starting salary
  • Set day shift Monday to Friday working 08:30am - 16:30pm
  • No weekend working
  • 28 days paid annual leave
  • Ongoing support from our team
  • This role is a direct permanent placement

The Role:

As a Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Operating a Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Truck safely and efficiently for yard duties
  • This role is a 50/50 split between FLT and Warehouse operational duties
  • Moving stock and materials around the yard
  • Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries
  • Supporting goods in and goods out processes
  • Ensuring stock is stored correctly and safely
  • Carrying out basic daily vehicle checks on the forklift
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment
  • Working collaboratively with the warehouse and yard team
  • Following all health & safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

  • Valid Forklift Licence (Counterbalance & Reach Truck)
  • Previous experience in an industrial/Warehousing environment
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious
