Sales Assistant (Customer Advisor) – Cotswold Outdoor Group

We’re looking for a Sales Assistant — known in our team as a Customer Advisor — to help support all kinds of adventure. We’re part of the Cotswold Outdoor Group, which also includes Runners Need and Snow + Rock. We offer trusted outdoor brands, expert advice, and a commitment to protecting the planet. What you’ll be doing

As part of our store team you’ll be working with friendly people who enjoy the outdoors, helping customers reconnect with nature by ensuring they leave with the right kit. Each day you can expect to:

  • Deliver a standout shopping experience by understanding each customer\’s needs and helping them find the right outdoor gear
  • Maintain a welcoming store appearance and work with your team to create an inspiring environment
  • Build product knowledge through training and hands-on experience to offer reliable advice
  • Learn and deliver specialist services like gait analysis, boot fitting and rucksack fitting with full training provided
  • Help the store run smoothly by keeping shelves tidy and the stockroom organised
  • Be part of a flexible team with weekend shifts
  • Take part in regular learning and development opportunities to grow your skills

We’re looking for someone who

  • Enjoys helping people and providing great customer service
  • Communicates well with different kinds of people
  • Is organised and can multitask
  • Is eager to learn about the outdoors and the products we sell

Note: Our zero-hour contracts provide flexibility to vary hours weekly. Rotas are published 4 weeks in advance. You’ll need to confirm your availability accordingly. There is no requirement to work every week, but regular work helps you remain an active colleague.
