As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and high-performing Project Manager to oversee commercial renewable energy projects, particularly heat pumps and solar energy. The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial M&E, renewable energy or in the construction industry. This role will involve managing projects from the point of sale through to client handover and beyond, ensuring their successful delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement: Lead meetings with clients to understand project requirements and ensure ongoing satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Planning: Develop detailed project schedules in collaboration with stakeholders, reviewing and adjusting as needed to manage risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with various departments to ensure that resources are allocated effectively and activities are executed in accordance with project timelines.
  • Scope Management: Work closely with technical and design teams to ensure the project scope is accurately defined and delivered to the highest standard.
  • Procurement & Subcontractor Management: Oversee the procurement process and manage subcontractors to ensure timely and on-spec delivery of equipment and work.
  • Scope Changes: Communicate any changes to the scope with clients and ensure that these are reflected in project variations where necessary.
  • Financial Oversight: Review the financial aspects of projects to ensure budgets and financial targets are met, supported by the commercial team.
  • Project Meetings: Lead and chair regular project meetings to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
  • Reporting: Keep senior management and clients updated on project progress through regular reporting.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all health and safety standards are maintained throughout the project.
  • Documentation: Ensure that all required regulatory, client-specific, and internal documentation is completed and submitted on time.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in project management.
  • Strong understanding of commercial project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, both verbal and written.
  • Previous experience in leading and managing teams is preferred.
  • A strong educational background, with at least an HND in an engineering discipline or engineering project management.
