The Electrical Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of residential electrical installations, including solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, and air source heat pump electrical works. This role ensures all installations are completed to current regulations, company standards, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee residential electrical installation teams and subcontractors.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with BS7671, MCS standards, and relevant health and safety legislation.
- Support planning and scheduling of installations to ensure operational efficiency.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance on complex installations.
- Monitor installation quality and ensure corrective actions are implemented where required.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to support project delivery.
- Ensure all certification and compliance documentation is completed accurately.
- Support recruitment, training, and development of installation staff.
- Carry out toolbox talks and promote a strong health and safety culture.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience managing residential electrical installations.
- Strong understanding of solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, and renewable technologies.
- Excellent knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
