Cotswold Energy Group is an exciting, profitable company in the domestic and commercial decarbonisation sector, delivering renewable energy solutions such as ASHP, GSHP, WSHP, and solar PV for both public and private sector clients, ranging from residences to commercial buildings, leisure centres, and education facilities. We are a company founded by three childhood friends who value transparency, straightforward solutions, and a supportive culture. We seek an experienced, high‑performing Project Manager to oversee commercial renewable energy projects, primarily heat pumps and solar, with a background in commercial M&E or renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement: Lead meetings to understand requirements and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Planning: Develop detailed schedules with stakeholders, review and adjust as needed to manage risks and mitigations.
  • Cross‑Department Coordination: Collaborate with various departments to allocate resources effectively and execute activities on time.
  • Scope Management: Work closely with technical and design teams to define and deliver scope to the highest standard.
  • Procurement & Subcontractor Management: Oversee procurement and manage subcontractors for timely, on‑spec delivery.
  • Scope Changes: Communicate any changes and ensure they are reflected in project variations.
  • Financial Oversight: Review financial aspects to ensure budgets and targets are met, supported by the commercial team.
  • Project Meetings: Lead and chair regular meetings to monitor progress and resolve issues.
  • Reporting: Keep senior management and clients updated with regular reporting.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain all health and safety standards throughout the project.
  • Documentation: Ensure all regulatory, client‑specific, and internal documentation is completed and submitted on time.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in project management.
  • Strong understanding of commercial project management principles.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, both verbal and written.
  • Preferred experience leading and managing teams.
  • Strong educational background, at least an HND in an engineering discipline or engineering project management.
