Every piece we make is built to last fifteen years. But a beautiful sideboard only becomes something special the moment it’s carried through a customer’s front door and set down exactly where they pictured it. That doorstep moment is what our home delivery team protects — and it’s what you’d lead.

We’re looking for a Depot Manager to run our Midlands home delivery operation: the drivers, the warehouse team, the daily rhythm of goods in and goods out, and the standards that mean every delivery lands as well as the furniture deserves.

What the role looks like

You’ll own the day-to-day running of the depot — leading the drivers, warehouse operatives and shift supervisors, and building a team that takes real pride in getting it right. It’s a hands-on role: some days you’ll be planning routes and reviewing KPIs, others you’ll be on the floor loading vehicles and running the morning debrief. You’ll report to our Transport Manager, keep the depot safe and compliant, watch the costs, and step in to support our other depots when they need it.

In short, you’ll keep the operation moving — and keep the people in it motivated, developed and proud of the service they deliver.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven transport or depot management experience, with a Transport Manager CPC
  • A full, clean UK driving licence (held at least 12 months)
  • Strong organisation, sharp attention to detail, and confident IT skills
  • A natural way with people — you lead by example, coach generously, and lift the team around you
  • It’s a bonus, not a must, if you’ve worked in furniture or home delivery before, or hold counterbalance, reach, or HGV Class 1 or 2 licences (with up-to-date CPC).

Why The Cotswold Company

We’re a premium British furniture and homeware brand, and a certified B Corp — which means we hold ourselves to a higher standard on how we treat our people, our customers and the planet. We’re growing, and the home delivery operation is growing with us. You’d join a business that genuinely cares how the work gets done, not just that it does.

Our four values run through everything here: we Lead with Care, Inspire Possibility, Focus on Impact, and Endure with Purpose. If that’s how you like to work, you’ll feel at home.
