Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role located in Lechlade-on-Thames for a Crew Member. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting customers with equipment rentals
- Ensuring the safety and cleanliness of rental gear
- Providing basic training on using kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Assisting with the setup and organization of equipment
- Ensuring visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience on the water
- General maintenance and supporting day-to-day operations at the hire center
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of kayaking, canoeing, or paddleboarding, and willingness to assist customers of varying skill levels
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service skills
- Ability to transport customers safely to and from day or multi-day trips with our minibus and trailer
- Organizational skills to maintain the equipment and assist in day-to-day operations
- A focus on health and safety principles to ensure customer safety and equipment handling
- Physical endurance and ability to assist with lifting and maneuvering equipment
- Experience in outdoor recreation, customer service, or hospitality is an advantage
- Enthusiasm for working in a team-friendly, outdoor environment
- Availability for flexible working hours, including weekends and public holidays
