We are currently recruiting for a Technical Architect to work for our Client, a dynamic studio of Architects creating bespoke, sustainable and elegant homes in the high end private residential sector. They work in a lovely studio based in Shoreditch. The office is inspiring to work in, modern and well aligned with their design principles. The practice has a very good team culture and there is genuine scope to progress further within the practice.
The Candidate:
- We are looking for an Architectural Assistant skilled in ArchiCAD or Revit and with plenty of technical design and detailing experience, to focus on RIBA stages 4-7, working in individual project teams of 3.
The Role:
- Advising on technical matters during RIBA stages 0-3.
- Production of tender and construction packages: drawings, schedules and specifications.
- Coordinating inputs from external consultants to the team.
- Managing tender processes: producing and issuing documentation and tender analysis (in collaboration with a Quantity Surveyor).
- Site inspections: Liaison with contractors on site, responding to RFI’s, managing site procedures & producing documentation.
- Administrating JCT Contracts and Issuing all related instructions, documentation and certificates (in collaboration with a Project Director + Training in-house available).
The Skills Required:
- Experience working on medium to high-end residential projects for end users.
- Good technical design and detailing skills with ability to articulate high-quality and detailed schemes, thinking and working directly within a 3D BIM environment.
- Experience in delivery of projects through RIBA stages 4-7, including production and coordination of all project drawings & information.
- Tangible experience in delivering tender and construction packages.
- Excellent and current knowledge of UK Building regulations.
- Experience and understanding of BIM concepts, workflows and collaboration.
- Excellent ArchiCAD skills, however strong Revit users who are happy to migrate will be considered.
