We are currently recruiting for a Structural Design Director to join an international multidisciplinary consultancy based in the City of London. Our client has a strong national and international presence, operating from numerous offices across the globe. They work with top clients and architects on technically challenging and large scale complex projects, adding value through their ideas, understanding of the building process, and their expertise in BIM modelling.

This is an excellent opportunity to adopt a position as a leading figure for one of the world's most successful consultancies in structural engineering. You would be reporting only to the head of structures, who is the most senior individual in the London structural team.

Brief Overview of Responsibilities:
  • Win business and develop new contacts with architects and/or build business with existing architects with annual targets.
  • Be a design ambassador for the Company.
  • Promote design credentials: build their reputation for architectural led design.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects and leading the design of a portfolio of jobs as Project Manager in conjunction with a Project Director.
  • Provide the principal contact to Clients as Project Director with only mentoring support from a Director.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 8 years' post-chartered experience (IStructE or ICE).
  • Have a proven track record in design and project delivery with different types of structural materials and systems, serving various types of building and under various types of procurement.
  • Have a proven record as a structural designer.
