The Role
You’ll take responsibility for running medium‑sized projects, leading client meetings, and ensuring successful coordination of mechanical engineering services from concept to completion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing plans, specifications, and schedules for works
- Producing reports to support design concepts and compliance with relevant standards
- Liaising with others in the design team to ensure coordination and quality
- Inspecting installations, reviewing progress, quality, and performance testing
- Supporting clients and project teams regarding operation and ongoing maintenance
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in mechanical design across multiple project types and sectors
- Strong technical knowledge of building services design and relevant industry standards
- Commercially aware and confident in a client‑facing role
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
- At least 3‑4 years’ experience within a UK consultancy environment
- Ideally chartered or working towards chartered status, with evidence of continued professional development
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent)
- Membership of a recognised industry body such as CIBSE or the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (preferred)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, SBEM, Revit/Navisworks, IES, and BREEAM principles beneficial
