Hours: 12 hours per week during school hours, term time only

Salary: £30,559 pro rata. Actual salary £5,890 (pay award pending of 3.2%). Note: Salary quoted is for the length of the contract from 1 October 2025 to 22 May 2026 (fixed term).

Location: Cotham School, Bristol. On-site only.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

• support Foreign Language Teachers in lessons, with timetabled lessons for Post-16 students and small groups for speaking practice
• cover A level language topics studied in class
• where possible, work with Years 10 and 11 language students preparing for GCSE
• work with small groups or whole-class settings as appropriate

Support will primarily involve speaking practice and classroom assistance during language lessons.

Requirements

• Fluent in Spanish
• Experience as a Foreign Language Assistant or similar role
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children and young people; DBS check required
• Ability to work with diverse student groups
