We’re looking for an experienced Head of Commercial Finance to join our leadership team on a maternity cover basis. This is a high-impact role, partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business to drive performance, profitability and informed decision-making in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
You’ll lead the commercial finance function, providing insight, challenge and support across operations, marketing, and growth initiatives while ensuring robust financial planning and control.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted commercial partner to the executive and operational leadership teams
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
- Deliver clear, actionable performance reporting and commercial insight
- Drive margin improvement, cost control and pricing strategies
- Work closely with the FD and develop a Finance Business Partner
- Ensure strong financial governance and collaboration with core finance teams
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior commercial finance role, ideally within hospitality, retail, leisure or a similarly fast-moving consumer-facing sector
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence at senior level
- Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
- Excellent communication skills — able to translate numbers into insight
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
