We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety professional to support our risk management and regulatory compliance activities. This is a 6-month fixed-term position with the potential to be extended based on business needs.
The Role
- Carry out risk and COSHH assessments.
- Desirable – carry out ergonomic and exposure assessments.
- Create risk reduction action plans.
- Help deliver training and toolbox talks on risk assessment, COSHH awareness.
- Liaise with procurement, production to ensure MSDS and COSHH are available and up to date.
- Develop and implement safe systems of work.
- Help with site safety inspections/internal audits.
- Assist in HSE initiatives – Signage, PPE, Spill Kits, First aid equipment.
- Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
- Support the Company’s compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 by following company policy and best practice.
Candidate Profile
- NEBOSH Qualification - Minimum Level 3.
- Desirable – Graduate in Safety discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Project a positive, enthusiastic and professional approach.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
