Job Description: Joining our team as a Gauge & Calibration Technician, you will undertake the calibration and measurements to the correct procedures, instructions and specifications. In addition, you will maintain relevant records of work, data and results in a traceable and auditable manner utilising our gauge management system. The Role: Calibration of measuring equipment in the Cosworth laboratory. Calibration of Production Gauging – Plain Plugs, Screw Plugs etc. Calibration of specialist hand tools. Monitoring of onsite ovens, hardness testers and pressure test equipment. Liaise with outside suppliers for contract calibration of specialist equipment (CMM’s, Height gauges etc.) Maintenance of Calibration Certification records and traceability. Assist in the development and Improvement of Inspection and Calibration procedures. Participate in external/internal audits as required by the Quality Manager. Raising purchase requisitions. Ensure that mandatory and legislative QHSE aspects of work are implemented at all times. Endeavour to complete all work within the budgeted costs and target dates. Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities. Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice. Candidate Profile: Technical qualification such as degree, HND, HNC, NVQ/BTEC, or signatory status. Extensive calibration knowledge and UKAS certification preferred but not essential. Knowledge of calibration practices and theories • Excellent computer skills and database knowledge. Experience of working within Customer focused environment. Desirable experience working with SAP. Flexible working attitude to react to business needs
