As a CNC Setter Operator at Cosworth, you will be responsible for manufacturing Crankshafts and Camshafts as well as a variety of other engine components for super/hyper car manufacturers. In this role, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating multiple CNC machines, as well as reading and editing programs to ensure smooth operations. You will also be responsible for conducting quality control checks using various measurement tools, and inspecting/maintaining machinery, tooling, and equipment. Your goal will be to ensure that all parts meet specifications and to minimise production downtime.
The Role
- To manufacture camshafts and crankshafts for Automotive and Aerospace customers.
- To set and operate machines in a safe manner with regard to themselves and others, complying with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- To produce components to the company standard in the most efficient / cost effective manner.
- To be familiar with all systems and procedures of their job.
- Ensure that information is transferred between shifts and team members as required.
- If problems occur, ensure the relevant people are kept informed e.g. Team Leader, Shift Leader, Production Engineer, Scheduler.
