Are you a skilled Quality Engineer wanting to be a part of a hard working and dedicated team? Cosworth is seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to support our Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC) Quality team on a permanent, full-time basis. Based in Northampton, you will provide support to the company’s Quality, Production and Engineering functions whilst also being part of the customer interface.
The Role:
- Ownership of internal quality issues and resolution with known Quality tools, in a timely manner.
- Data collection, collation, and development of improvement activities.
- Definition of inspection criteria.
- Lineside quality improvement activities such as defect disposition analysis, scrap and rework analysis, as well as general improvement projects.
- Data driven improvement activities in response to internal quality gate findings including conducting root cause analysis, countermeasure implementation and auditing.
- Management of internal quality KPIs and metrics development of improvement plans.
- Conducting internal quarantine and scrap reviews.
- Assisting in external Quality activities where needed (significant overlap with customer impact issues).
- Planning and Managing APQP and PPAP activities, including the PPAP tracker.
