Job Description: As a Hard Gauge Technician, you will carry out inline inspection of Powertrain components within our Advanced Manufacturing Centre. Using a range of precision measuring equipment, you will ensure components meet engineering specifications, identify non-conformances, and work closely with Production and Engineering to maintain quality standards and support continuous improvement. The Role: Carry out inline inspection of manufactured engine blocks, cylinder heads and other Powertrain components in line with engineering requirements. Use a range of precision measuring equipment, including digital calipers, micrometers, air gauges, thread gauges, plug gauges, Rok-It gauges and a Mahr contour tracer. Complete inspections accurately and within the required timescales to support production. Identify, report and escalate any quality concerns or non-conformances to Production and Engineering teams. Work collaboratively with Engineering to support investigation and resolution of quality issues. Contribute to continuous improvement and 5S activities within the department.
