We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Manufacturing Team as a Senior Production Engineer.
The Role:
- Responsible for producing CNC Programs for 4 & 5 axis machines, and Multi Axis Turn-Mills using Siemens NX & Vericut.
- Responsible for producing CNC Grinding Programs for a variety of Grinding Machines.
- Manage New Part Introduction for short lead time Prototype & Production Projects.
- Create & define manufacturing routings & BOM using SAP ERP.
- Design fixtures & tooling for NPI Projects.
- Introduce new cutting technology to improve tool life & cycle time.
- Assist with implementation of departmental training & progression.
- Estimate production times and costs.
- Identify ways to reduce cost within the manufacturing processes.
- Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
- Support the Company’s compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 by following company policy and best practice.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience with machining/programming complex components in the Automotive/Aerospace industry.
- Experience of Siemens NX CAD/CAM system.
- Experience using Vericut Simulation Software.
- Relevant engineering qualification achieved (HNC or higher).
- Thorough understanding of machining/cutting and inspection techniques.
- Strong organisation and communication skills.
- Experience with SAP ERP systems is desirable.
- Willing to be flexible to support where necessary.
