We are seeking a Production/Manufacturing Engineer to join our high-performance Manufacturing Team, delivering precision components in a fast-paced environment. Our operations span two advanced manufacturing facilities in Northampton, featuring 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines, mill-turns, lathes and grinders supported by automation for complex, high-precision production. With internal design, build, and test, all processes are fully integrated through Siemens NX and Teamcenter, ensuring seamless collaboration from concept to completion.
The Role:
- Develop & optimise multi-axis CNC programs using CAM.
- Design and implement production fixturing.
- Take ownership of manufacturing processes from concept to production.
- Support new product introduction, tooling, and process development.
- Support shopfloor staff, driving continuous improvement.
- Estimate production times and costs, managing BOMs.
- Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
- Support the Company’s compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 by following company policy and best practice.
Candidate Profile:
- Strong CAM programming experience (ideally Siemens NX).
- Background in automotive, motorsport, aerospace or precision engineering.
- Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, CAM Programmer, or Production Engineer.
- Experience in fixture design.
- Strong understanding of GD&T.
- Apprentice-trained (HNC, HND or Bachelor's degree).
- Hands-on problem solver, comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamcenter, Vericut, or SAP experience is a plus.
