We are seeking to hire a Machine Operator to complement our expanding global business in the FMCG sector based at our Barlborough site. If you are enthusiastic, focused and ambitious with the desire to develop in a thriving business then this could be the role for you.
Experience- Proven experience operating multiple types of automated production or assembly machinery, including packaging, end of line & automation
- Background in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Experience with machine changeovers, setups, and adjustments
- Demonstrated ability to work in high-volume or fast-paced production settings
- Experience following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ability to operate and monitor a range of automated machines (primarily packaging & assembly)
- Basic mechanical fault finding and first-line maintenance
- Understanding of tolerances and quality standards
- Competent with production data recording systems or paperwork
- Complete production to target output and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Support continuous improvement activities
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety regulations
- Knowledge of risk assessments and safe working practices
- Commitment to quality control and inspection procedures
- Ability to identify defects and take corrective action
- Compliance with ISO / GMP / Lean / 5S standards (where applicable)
- Flexible and willing to operate across different machines and departments
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to work shift patterns and optional overtime
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (noise, PPE, temperature variation)
- Practical £13.89 per hour/£29,000 per annum
