Salary and Benefits
Salary: £50,000 per annum

About the Role
Do you have experience delivering publications or medical affairs projects? Costello Medical is growing and looking for candidates with prior experience in medical communications who enjoy content delivery and project management to join us as Senior Analysts and Senior Medical Writers. Senior Analysts and Senior Medical Writers take a leading role across projects, provide strategic advice to clients at project initiation, supervise the project team, and interact with clients. They are central to quality control, including the review of colleagues' work and providing constructive feedback.
Project Types
Our Medical Communications sub-teams collaborate across:
- Publications: strategic publication planning, poster design and manuscript production, abstract development, and more
- Medical Affairs: delivering advisory boards, creating medical information materials, congress support, organising medical education events, developing medical education materials, and more
Client Relationships and Career Progression
You will play an integral role in supporting business development by cultivating and sustaining strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to offer additional services within existing projects. You may progress to increased responsibilities, including managing client relationships, preparing budgets and overseeing project finances, and line management of interns within your team.
Hybrid Working Policy
We offer flexible working arrangements that allow colleagues who have passed probation to work from home up to half their time, measured across a 2-week rolling period. During probation (normally the first 6 months), you may work from home 1 day per week.

Requirements
About You
We seek collaborative, self-motivated individuals with professional agency experience (typically at least two years). Experience should include:
- Delivery of medical communications projects (publications, medical affairs, or both)
- Direct client communication and adapting to different communication styles
- Day-to-day leadership of project teams, including task delegation and time management
- Degree in a scientific discipline (minimum 2.1). Specialisms include biology, chemistry, pharmacy, and medicine
- Exceptional attention to detail and written accuracy
- Excellent written English and arithmetic
- Strong scientific writing skills tailored to different audiences
- Project management skills for timely delivery
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word to produce professional work
- Technical and strategic knowledge to provide client recommendations
- Ability to maintain high-quality deliverables under multiple demands
- Proven ability to build robust client relationships
- Leadership ability to motivate colleagues in delivering project components
Benefits and Reward
A starting salary of £50,000 with discretionary profit share bonuses paid twice per year. 25 days' annual leave plus bank and public holidays, plus holiday buy/sell. Flexible working hours and up to half-time remote work after probation. Flexible benefits scheme, private medical insurance (MH disregarded), paid study leave and funding for external qualifications.
