Analyst - Statistics role at Costello Medical. You will work on projects involving statistical analysis of clinical and health data, and communicate methods and results to clients and the wider community. This role is based in Costello Medical’s offices in London or Manchester with flexible/hybrid working options following probation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Statistics team on projects involving detailed analysis of clinical and health data and present findings.
- Plan and carry out statistical analyses in collaboration with statisticians, assess feasibility, select methodologies, and write analysis protocols.
- Interpret and critically appraise statistical results and present them in written and oral formats to diverse audiences including clients, healthcare professionals, and reimbursement agencies such as NICE (UK).
- Work in multidisciplinary project teams; participate in teleconferences and face‑to‑face meetings with external stakeholders after induction.
- Contribute to publications, value materials, or Health Technology Assessments (HTA) as part of project outputs.
Requirements / Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree in a scientific discipline (minimum 2.1 or equivalent); postgraduate qualifications (minimum 2.1) are advantageous but not required. Disciplines include Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Medicine, Maths, Statistics, etc.
- Interest in working with complex numerical data with the ability to handle it comfortably.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and strong organizational abilities to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing scientific documents and adapting style for diverse audiences.
- Proactive mindset, collaborative team approach, and willingness to take ownership of work and development.
- Willingness to engage with and contribute to the wider division and align with Costello Medical’s values: delivering quality work, innovation in healthcare, integrity, and supportive teamwork.
- Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Start Date and Location
- Role type: Full-time, permanent. Ideally commence in March or April 2026.
- Location: London and Manchester offices with hybrid working options.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: £39,000 per annum.
