About the Role
As a Motion Designer in our Creative team, you will be at the forefront of delivering diverse and intricate motion design projects for both our clients in the healthcare sector and the company. You will be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, from initial concept development to full production, allowing for real autonomy and creativity. This involves early-stage collaboration with other designers, project managers, and clients to define the project scope and objectives. You will then produce high-quality motion design materials, providing technical insight and offering guidance as needed.
At Costello Medical, our Creative team is passionate about data visualisation and enhancing the communication of scientific content. We are also committed to supporting projects where we believe our skills can make a meaningful difference to healthcare. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to support not only commercial projects, but also pro bono work for charities and the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing Motion Content: Creating a wide range of motion content, including complex 2D and 3D animations, detailed "explainer" videos, as well as interactive visuals for both internal teams and external clients.
- Filming: Collaborating with project teams to plan and deliver small-scale on-site filming, ensuring high-quality video and audio are captured for post-production.
- Video and Audio Editing: Supporting project teams with post-production video and audio editing for live and virtual events.
- Strong Collaboration: Working closely with creative colleagues and project managers at the outset of projects to determine the design scope, purpose, and strategic approach to be taken.
- Effective Communication: Clearly communicating project requirements to project teams and providing input on any technical queries.
- Quality and Delivery: Ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Exceptional Service: Providing outstanding customer service, building strong partnerships with internal teams and external clients.
Hybrid Working Policy
We believe that having face‐to‐face time in the office holds many benefits and is central to ensuring that the community we have created is never lost. Therefore, we offer flexible working arrangements that allow our colleagues who have passed probation to work from home up to half their time, measured across a 2‐week rolling period. During your probationary period (normally the first 6 months of the role), you will be able to work from home 1 day per week.
Requirements
We are seeking a motivated individual who can contribute innovative ideas to enhance our motion design service offerings. You will have a great understanding of aesthetics and meticulous attention to detail. Essential requirements for the role are:
- A degree‐level or higher qualification in a design‐related discipline (minimum 2.1 or equivalent).
- Extensive experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Proven experience creating animations and/or video editing for various digital channels.
- Familiarity with other programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud, such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Some professional experience within an agency or commercial setting.
- A problem‐solving mindset and the ability to think outside the box.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
