About the Role
Our Epidemiologist Internship is ideal for current students and recent graduates with a keen interest in epidemiology, biostatistics and public health, who are eager to gain valuable insights into life at a leading healthcare consultancy.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to two or three projects during the internship, each involving the interpretation, assimilation, and analysis of real‑world studies or public health data.
Responsibilities
- Gain hands‑on experience with the design and execution of a wide variety of real‑world studies.
- Develop protocols and statistical analysis plans (SAPs).
- Conduct analyses of data from patient registries and electronic health record (EHR) databases.
- Support primary data generation activities such as prospective cohort studies or patient/clinician surveys.
- Communicate results to external stakeholders in the healthcare sector.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline (minimum 2.1).
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Good understanding of the R programming language and willingness to develop programming skills.
- Knowledge of epidemiological techniques and data analysis methods.
- Excellent written and spoken English, able to communicate scientific material clearly.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills with a proactive approach to prioritisation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong self‑motivation and willingness to learn.

- Salary: £25,800 per annum for Cambridge or Bristol; £27,050 per annum for London.
