Responsibilities

  • You will work on projects that involve the design and execution of a wide variety of real-world studies, perform statistical analyses and communicate results to external stakeholders in the healthcare sector.
  • You will receive one‑to‑one training in the technical aspects of the role, including project management and effective client communication.
  • Delivering project work requires close collaboration with clients; you will participate in teleconferences and face‑to‑face meetings with external stakeholders.
  • After an induction period you will increasingly take on project management and client responsibility within six to twelve months.
  • You will contribute to the design, execution and reporting of prospective, retrospective and cross‑sectional real‑world studies, including secondary analysis of patient registries, electronic health record databases and primary data generation such as prospective cohort studies or patient/clinician surveys.
  • You will work within project teams across multiple therapeutic areas, with results feeding into publications, value materials, health economic models or health technology assessment submissions.

Qualifications

  • A degree level or higher qualification in a relevant subject is required (minimum 2.1 or above).
  • Good understanding of epidemiological techniques, data analysis methods, statistical techniques and the ability to engage in technical discussions with statisticians.
  • Proficiency in the R programming language for analysis of large datasets and willingness to develop programming skills further.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to explain complex techniques and results to non‑experts.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, maintaining a high level of customer service and deliverable quality under multiple competing demands.
  • Excellent organisational skills with flexibility to respond to changing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams.
  • Excellent written English (assessed during the selection process).

Desirable Requirements

  • Relevant Masters or PhD would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with real‑world healthcare data sources in the UK or elsewhere is desirable but not essential.

  • Salary: £42,000 per annum.
