Internship Overview

Our Epidemiologist Internship is ideal for current students and recent graduates with an interest in epidemiology, biostatistics, and public health. Interns will contribute to two or three projects, each involving the interpretation, assimilation, and analysis of real‑world studies or public health data.

  • Developing protocols and statistical analysis plans (SAPs)
  • Conducting analyses of data from patient registries and electronic health record (EHR) databases
  • Supporting primary data generation activities such as prospective cohort studies or patient/clinician surveys

Interns receive one‑to‑one training on technical aspects and learn about project management and effective communication with clients. Interns will work with our Real‑World Evidence (RWE) and Literature Reviews teams, gaining exposure across our Evidence Development service offering.

Duration

  • Typically three months, with the potential to extend to six months depending on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

Essential requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (minimum 2.1 or expected 2.1); postgraduate qualification an advantage.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of R programming language and willingness to develop programming skills
  • Understanding of epidemiological techniques and data analysis methods
  • Excellent written and spoken English; ability to communicate scientific material clearly to various audiences
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills
  • Self‑motivation, self‑awareness, and a desire to contribute beyond project work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
