Role Summary

Responsibilities: Lead end‑to‑end Value & Access projects with cross‑functional teams, delivering high‑quality outputs and proactive client engagement; leverage German/European market access on JCA and Scientific Advice, mentoring analysts and growing the pipeline.

Salary: £61,500 per annum (salary bands are determined by level of previous experience, eliminating the need for individual negotiations).

Role Type: Full‑time or part‑time permanent role.

Start Date: Recruitment continues throughout 2026, with monthly start dates. Candidates should indicate availability on the application form.

Location: Role available across UK offices, preferring candidates based in Global Headquarters in Cambridge or London. Offices in Manchester and Bristol also considered.

About the Role: Lead the way in European market access. Manage multiple Value & Access projects, spearhead client relationships, and contribute to pipeline growth by leveraging German HTA and JCA expertise. Managing end‑to‑end Value & Access projects—from scoping to execution—for a growing European focus (including JCA and EU4). Independently manage multiple projects, lead client communications, mentor Analysts, nurture long‑term client relationships, and drive proposals to grow the Value & Access team’s global and European markets. Provide strategic, high‑quality work for clients, leveraging deep expertise in the German HTA and broader market access landscape to guide JCA, Scientific Advice, global value dossiers, and market access strategy for Germany and EU4. Projects span multiple disease areas; rapid assimilation of new therapeutic areas and managing multiple projects is essential. Sit on the Management Team in Value & Access, contributing to team strategy and company‑wide discussions.

About You: Collaborative, self‑motivated with a strong background in healthcare consulting, particularly within market access projects. Deliver exceptionally high‑quality work, build successful client relationships, and exceed clients’ expectations. Thrives in a fast‑paced environment, highly organised, manages timelines across multiple projects, and supports the project team as needed. Desires to contribute to team growth and develop junior colleagues through mentoring and feedback.

Essential Requirements for the Role: Minimum 3 years’ industry experience, ideally within consulting, pharmaceutical, or medical device company; experience from project initiation to completion, providing recommendations on content and approach. Leading multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to changing deadlines, delegating tasks and managing time effectively. Communicating with clients and tailoring approach to build robust, sustainable relationships. Pitched for and won competitive work, contributing to proposals, shaping strategic narratives, and presenting confidently. Strong understanding of the German access landscape for pharmaceuticals; direct experience in AMNOG dossiers (pricing negotiations desirable but not essential). Broad experience in (early) market access strategic advice and evidence generation plans tailored to Germany also highly desirable. Experience providing strategic and technical advice to clients on German HTA requirements and evidence needs. Experience from global market access projects, solid understanding of global access drivers, payer evidence needs, and interplay between clinical, economic, and policy considerations. Degree in a scientific discipline (minimum 2.1 or equivalent). Fluent in English. Entrepreneurial spirit to spot opportunities, shape innovative market access solutions, and take ownership of client relationships and project pipelines. Strong relationship‑building skills internally and externally; able to adapt communication style to different audiences. Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain complex ideas and scientific data to non‑experts. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Flexibility to respond to changing deadlines. Independent and collaborative work style; able to lead and motivate teams.

Desired Requirements for the Role: Fluent in German. Experience on HTA and/or market access projects for other European countries (particularly France, Spain, Italy, Nordics or the Netherlands).
