We are currently looking for full time and part time Dispensing Opticians for our Leeds Warehouse. The Dispensing Optician will assist members in ordering eyeglasses. The duties will include:
- Assisting members in choosing eyeglass frames and lens options according to the lens prescription
- Measuring members' pupillary distance
- Processing orders including payment
- Checking contact lenses and completed eyeglasses against prescription prior to dispensing
- Fitting and adjusting eyeglasses to member
- Ordering and stocking equipment, merchandise and supplies
- Ensuring the department is kept clean and tidy
- Overseeing apprentices as required
To be suitable for the Dispensing Optician role you will:
- Hold a BSC in dispensing Optics approved by the GOC
- Be a registered dispensing optician with the GOC
- Be service oriented – experienced in ‘going the extra mile'
- Be energetic and familiar with working in a fast-paced environment
