CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP) is a leading global provider of commercial and residential real estate information, analytics, and online marketplaces. We are looking for Field Research Photographers to support an in-depth understanding of the Commercial Real Estate market in Newcastle and surrounding areas of the North East. You will capture imagery and granular data that underpins our analytics tool, methodically working through a designated territory.
Responsibilities
- Drive or walk assigned submarkets within core territories to collect imagery, information, and updates – including identifying new availability, missing inventory, updating construction status, and capturing up-to-date high-resolution images where required.
- Cross-reference new leads with current information in the CoStar database by researching sales and lease comparable data.
- When information is new, collect building data and contact information and route to the in-house Research team.
- Photograph and collect building attribute data and contact information for all commercial properties with lease or sale signs in the assigned territory.
- Collect visible data fields about each property (e.g., address, building type, number of stories, gross building area, building height, industrial loading, and retail details).
- Post-process digital images using Adobe software suite.
- Create footprint and rooftop geocode for each building using field mapping software; associate tenant locations and photograph tenant spaces as required.
- Follow daily Field Research procedures, log project timings accurately, and communicate workflow and daily production with your manager.
- Upload data and images in a timely manner as directed by your manager.
- Visually survey properties in the assigned submarket; target minimum of 16 new potential listings (leasing and/or sale signs) per day on lead projects.
- Professionally communicate with property managers and customers via phone, email, and in person.
- Abide by CoStar safety standards and maintain company equipment and vehicle if provided.
- Represent CoStar professionally at all times and participate in monthly conference calls with sales and research teams; represent Field Research at occasional trade functions.
Physical Requirements
- Repetitive standing, sitting, and walking up to 8 hours per day.
- Holding 2 kg in one hand for up to 5 minutes.
- Repetitive hand and arm movements for typing and writing.
- Exposure to various weather conditions daily.
- Exposure to vehicle noise and possible car exhaust fumes.
Qualifications
- Technical proficiency in digital photography and post-processing with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
- Qualified Drone pilot to A2 Certificate of Competence or GVC.
- Degree qualified, or equivalent experience.
- Willingness to travel across the country for field-related projects.
- Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications.
- Existing portfolio of property exterior and interior imagery.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; flexible and able to adapt to new processes.
- Ability to learn and apply commercial real estate terminology and mapping software.
- Ability to work independently and follow CoStar protocols remotely with daily support via phone and email.
- Comfortable working alone with daily support; valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Driving Record check prior to start.
