Description

At CoStar Group, our finance group centralizes transaction processes, providing accurate reporting, financial resolutions, and proper forecasting analysis. The Senior Finance Analyst will be primarily responsible for assisting in the monthly close process, including preparation of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses related to the monthly results. This position will also support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis of CoStar’s international entities.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for managing the P&L and BS of specific CoStar international products/services.
2. Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial data through processing monthly journal entries.
3. Delivery of month-end results, including consistent and insightful reporting to business unit leaders.
4. Challenging stakeholders to drive accountability and providing them with tools necessary to track progress against financial targets.
5. Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of revenue performance & cost drivers.
6. Developing and managing financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
7. Partner with Group Finance to aid key business objectives (e.g., acquisition integrations).
8. Collaborate with group treasury, tax, and payroll to ensure compliance with corporation tax, VAT, and payroll tax requirements.
9. Be the lead conduit with external auditors and facilitate review of the close process, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.

Qualifications

1. ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
2. Experience in managing and developing reporting, comfortable with large volumes of data.
3. Strong system skills including Oracle and MS Office, particularly Excel (Pivot tables, vlookups, Power Query, etc).
4. Demonstrate a continuous improvement approach to work.
5. Experience of working to a monthly close cadence.
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
7. Strong project management, time management, and communication skills.
8. Ideally proficient in one or more European languages, specifically Spanish, German, or French.
