We are seeking a Waste and Stores Person who will take deliveries, manage stock, carry out general maintenance duties, manage and correctly sentence waste. The role will include managing the waste compound, undertaking waste operations, receiving and dispatching goods for our operational technology programmes, identifying components for inspection, performing regular stock checks to ensure stock accuracy, and creating and packaging production kit boxes, while ensuring the stores area is kept safe and tidy.
Responsibilities
- Completing data sheets for the management and sentencing of waste, including hazardous waste.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures and ensure the stores area is kept safe, tidy, and secure.
- Identify and implement systems to allow the receipt, processing and consignment of waste.
- Liaise with procurement and site teams to manage ingoing and outgoing goods.
- Work closely with the production manager/team leader to understand the schedule of materials/goods movements.
- Carry out stock checks, take receipt of deliveries, organise and package goods.
- Control and oversight of all site waste operations.
- Ordering skips, signing off the waste contents log, skip quality plan and waste transfer notes.
