Scaffold General Foreperson - Plymouth

Responsibilities

• Liaising with the site lead to ensure all scaffold operations are adequately planned accounting for all environmental factors.
• Liaising with the supply chain to ensure all scaffold operations are adequately planned, and the required supervision is in place.
• Liaising with teams to advise and contribute to scaffold design solutions.
• Experience in planning and implementation scaffold operations.
• Carry out site inspections and assurance audits. Inspect scaffolding materials, oversee post-work housekeeping, and verify builds match project designs.
• Carry out general admin tasks.
• Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive.

• Must be customer focussed by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating, and meeting their needs.
• Act as the primary link between on-site implementation and construction management.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential

• Minimum 10 years scaffolding experience.
• Experience leading teams on complex scaffolding projects.
• Previous experience on industrial, infrastructure or heavy engineering sites.
• CISRS Advanced Scaffolder Card.
• NVQ Level 3 in Scaffolding (or equivalent).
• CISRS Part 1 & Part 2 Training.
• CISRS Operative Training Scheme (COTS).
• Valid CITB Health, Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme.

Desirable

• Previous experience working within the nuclear sector.
• Valid CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test for Managers and Professionals.
• Competent in the use of AutoCAD.
• IT literacy for reporting and record keeping.

Qualifications

Essential

• Attendance of SMSTS.
• Attendance of Site Briefing Presenters course.
• Attendance of Annual Management of Health & Safety and Your Safety is My Safety.

Desirable

• NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management.
• Successful Completion of the FLM Manager programme.
• Member of a professional body.
• NEC course.
