Overview
In this Project Manager role, you oversee delivery of a multi-million water infrastructure programme in North Lincolnshire, guiding projects from enabling works through handover. You will work with a cross-functional team to meet safety, quality, time and budget targets, maintaining governance and strong client relationships. You’ll translate strategy into practical outcomes, drive performance, and support continuous improvement in a large-scale, regulated environment. The position offers impact across a major alliance delivering critical regional water assets.
Responsibilities
- Create and lead a high-performing project team (construction managers, site engineers, planners, QS, enabling coordinators)
- Translate programme strategy into tangible delivery outcomes
- Ensure optimal utilisation of resources and meet performance metrics
- Develop collaborative relationships with Anglian Water, supply chain partners and internal teams
- Manage full project lifecycle from enabling to handover and warranty resolution
- Support governance boards and comply with all governance requirements
- Coordinate with Commercial for accurate cost forecasts and variance mitigation
- Manage risk and change at scheme level with escalation as needed
- Plan and update projects using P6 and SAP, ensuring accurate progress reporting
- Lead peer and constructability reviews to validate safety and commercial viability
- Foster an open, collaborative environment and promote continuous H&S improvement
- Maintain zero-accident safety culture and high H&S standards
Key requirements
- HNC/HND or degree in Civil / MEICA / Construction Management
- SMSTS qualification
- CSCS card
- Experience managing multidisciplinary Civils and MEICA projects (preferably in water)
- Proven ability to lead multi-contractor teams and deliver large-scale infrastructure projects
- Strong stakeholder management with clients, operators, landowners and authorities
- Ability to outperform budgets via planning, risk/opportunity management and innovation
- Proficient in P6 and SAP; strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer competence with MS Word, Excel, document control systems and Primavera
