The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project currently involves the planning, design and construction of circa 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water’s region.

The SPA Alliance is also taking on responsibility for the future interconnector pipelines, a further 260km of strategic interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure.

Experience of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and pipe-jacking via trenchless methods.

They are also looking for someone who has experience of liaising, managing, & negotiating permits with stakeholders such as Environmental Agency, highways authorities and Network Rail.

Hybrid working, 2 days in Peterborough Office, and 2/3 days on-site.

Primary SPA sites will be Irby to Elsham (north Lincolnshire), and Norfolk interconnectors but must be willing to travel across the region to all sites if required.

Desirable: NEBOSH Construction Certificate or IOSHHFormal Civil Engineering Qualification (Civil / Construction or Geotechnical)Strategic management of crossings programme across IC2 schemes.

Management and co-ordination of design, contracts and specialist subcontractors to deliver the programme, including estimates, quality checks and third-party approvals.

Manage on-site operations for Tunnelling, HDD, pipe jacking, and open-cut works.

Oversee Tunnelling, HDD & Pipe-jacking activities, ensuring alignment and quality.

Monitor progress against programme and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Develop crossing strategies and select appropriate methods.

Prepare and review technical drawings, risk assessments, and method statements.

Coordinate with design teams to ensure feasibility and compliance with standards.

Ensuring all quality standards are met in development of and the construction of the crossing design.

Lead the implementation of a production management approach to delivery, driving high levels of performance and delivery to programme requirements.

Management of ECI process Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Strong knowledge of trenchless technology and civil engineering principles.

Competence in interpreting technical drawings and specifications Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
