CMDP+ is looking to strengthen their operations team with an Information Governance Lead. Based on 3 days per week (minimum) in your home region hub site, you will provide general services to the CMDP+ team who are currently using a variety of systems including Bentley ProjectWise & Microsoft products to manage project and non-project information.
CMDP+ is a joint venture between MWH Treatment and Costain and will deliver a range of schemes to maintain and improve Southern Water's water supply and wastewater treatment works across its region (Kent, Hampshire, East & West Sussex).
ResponsibilitiesYou will report directly to the CMDP Head of Information Management & Systems, and the responsibilities will include:
- Regular attendance at sites across the CMDP geographical region spanning Hampshire, Sussex, Kent & IOW, with a minimum of once per month visits to team members in Falmer, Chatham & Hampshire bases.
- Provide line management to the CMDP+ document controllers (both MWHT & Costain), a joint approach will be taken between this role and HO IM&S on any JV partner home organisation items.
- Lead CMDP+ member's adherence to the internal information governance framework to ensure compliance with UK GDPR, Data Protection Act, and internal policies.
- Implement an information management audit schedule, supporting & enhancing the existing teams' members parameter definitions as the in situ subject matter experts.
- Oversee information management audits and assessments ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Championing of document management processes and systems within the department & project delivery discipline environments.
- Understand and adhere to legal, contract, Southern Water and CMDP document & information management requirements. Promote CMDP+ best interests when participating in client/SDP forums.
- Participate in audit preparation by providing accurate 'in system' document packs, registers and evidence trails.
- Deal with escalated enquiries efficiently and effectively.
- Provide support & guidance to operational teams and suppliers in use of the CMDP systems.
- Ensure training content and provision is meeting expectations based on participant feedback.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, quality teams and business support functions to ensure discipline/departmental document workflows adhere to creation, management and systems storage standards.
- Act as an escalation point of contact for document-related enquiries, troubleshooting issues promptly.
- Provide assurance to the CMDP Head of Information Management & Systems by ensuring that all records are created, maintained and information exchanged in line with expectations.
- Identify & work with the CMDP+ systems analysts on opportunities to automate governance controls and improve information workflows.
- Provide system permissions guidance and general user support.
- Ensuring departmental governance of change is complete before promoting any change to the wider CMDP+ community and beyond.
Essential
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Strong knowledge of data governance & commercial application of standards/processes.
- Experience leading or supporting internal audits.
- Strong communication skills enabling engagement at all organisational levels.
- Ability to simplify complex data/information concepts across a variety of stakeholders - client, internal & external.
- Attendance at team base offices (Falmer, Chatham & Hampshire) on a minimum basis of once per month.
- Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel across the whole of the geographic area as required.
