Responsibilities

  • Management and review of design outputs and tender packs
  • Produce and update procurement schedule/plan
  • Attend design and progress meetings
  • Review of 3rd party designs
  • Assist the QS in producing and defining the required scope of works
  • Procurement of MEICA process plant
  • Undertake technical and commercial bid analysis
  • Programming and scheduling
  • Review of inspection and test plans
  • Off site management of manufacturing phase of process plant orders
  • Hold regular progress meetings and obtain manufacturing progress reports
  • Support the construction team and attend site as necessary
  • Control of site electrical-mechanical installation activities
  • Set up and attend factory acceptance tests
  • Assist in planning
  • Produce/review risk assessment & method statements
  • Accept/issue instructions
  • Site reporting/record keeping
  • Ensure that site installation programme is adhered to or bettered
  • Maintain good working relationships with client, sub-contractors and partners
  • Ensure completion and take-over of sub-contracts
  • Review and maintain P&ID’s through to as-built status
  • Support asset management and Reg31 compliance procedures

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Essential working knowledge of water industry plant and process
  • HS&E knowledge & competence
  • Computer literate
  • People management skills
  • Good verbal & communication skills
  • Commercially aware
  • Experience on water/wastewater plant design, construction and procurement

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering degree, diploma or equivalent
  • CSCS card or equivalent and EUSR Card
  • Full driving licence
  • Evidence of safety training i.e. IOSH Managing Safely or CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme or equivalent
