This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Civil Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for small projects and sub-tasks from a technical perspective.
- Support Senior and Principal Engineers.
- Prepare, under supervision, preliminary and detailed design analysis, calculations, specifications and related documentation for civil and structural works.
- Communicate designs effectively to the BIM teams.
- Communicate effectively with other disciplines and construction teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Essential:
- Good knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements of the discipline.
- Awareness of risk identification, quantification, management and of HSE requirements.
Desirable:
- Some experience working within the nuclear industry.
- Experience with new and historic structures, including optioneering assessments.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Minimum BEng Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Actively progressing chartership with ICE or IStructE.
- Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance - British National or 5 years UK residency.
Desirable:
- Nuclear Industry recognised training and qualifications.
- Currently holding Security Clearance.
- CSCS or CCNSG.
