The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The Onboarding and Engagement Lead will support the senior management team in aviation projects and work under the functional support of the aviation shared support services team. The main priority for this role will be our expanding Gatwick Airport contracts; however, they will be expected to support the wider Aviation team as required across Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted. The role will support a host of functions to set the team up for success, secure and mobilise projects. This includes but is not limited to:

  • supporting the set-up of the airside pass team
  • airside licensing
  • developing stakeholder plans with key stakeholder networks
  • supporting bid work for call-off contracts
  • delivery of onboarding and airport familiarisation

Within Gatwick, a stakeholder is any individual, group, or organisation that can affect, be affected by, or perceive to be affected by a programme. The stakeholder manager will write the strategy for stakeholder engagement at LGW, followed by an engagement plan and onboarding programme. The Onboarding and Engagement Lead will identify, engage, and build trust with the relevant stakeholders to ensure the programmes and its constituent tranches/projects deliver their benefits within required timescales. Our base principle is to have face-to-face meetings as our primary method of engagement and to record all interactions on a shared platform, which the stakeholder manager will set up/coordinate.

Responsibilities

  • Writing the stakeholder strategy.
  • Identifying the key stakeholders for engagement, developing relationships and linking them to the project teams.
  • Working with project teams to identify engagement needs and input onto the stakeholder engagement plan.
  • Organising and facilitating stakeholder engagement sessions, capturing minutes from the sessions and taking ownership of actions to be completed.
  • Ensuring all interactions are recorded.
  • Collating all necessary information and creating engaging literature (e.g., presentations) to share with stakeholders.
  • Maintaining ongoing communication with programme teams to ensure alignment to the same objective.
  • Communicating with stakeholders both informally and formally, considering impact and future stakeholders.
  • Coordination of passes and licensing under the guidance of the central team for Gatwick.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Understanding of airports, their operations and stakeholders both operational and project related.
  • Track record of successful stakeholder engagement, airport operations or passenger experience.
  • Understanding of how individual passes are processed at the airport, responsibilities of passholders and business.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - a great team player.
  • Using initiative and thinking outside the box.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in working at Gatwick, Heathrow & Stansted airports.
  • Proficient in using technology and systems.
  • Attention to detail and recording all interactions.
  • Understand how to process ID passes.
  • Customer or passenger facing experience.

Qualifications

  • Airside pass compliant.

Desirable

  • Ability to hold an airside driving license.
