The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 € per year.

You will be accountable for providing and establishing a common approach with aligned goals for excellence in all aspects of Commissioning and Testing. To manage and organise individuals or a team on projects in support of the company’s strategic commissioning goals and to meet the quality, cost, resource, programme and acceptance criteria. To ensure the highest of standards in Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Environment whilst undertaking Commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and optimising value in delivery through standardisation, consistency and best practice and promoting Health Safety, Environmental and construction best practice.
  • Lead, manage and develop the commissioning strategy, commissioning plan & commissioning programme for the projects.
  • Fully understand the projects commissioning scope, ensure that all the interfaces and coordination issues are understood, and risks are identified.
  • Attend commissioning meetings as necessary with the suppliers, designers and site team.
  • Ensure the commissioning activities are managed in line with the Costain/Southern Water framework expectations.
  • Liaise with Designers/Suppliers/Site Team.
  • Lead, Manage and Assist in producing/finalising commissioning, testing and handover documentation.
  • Identify and coordinate design interface issues.
  • Attend site meetings as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with necessary safety, health and environmental procedures.
  • Promoting health, safety and environmental best practice.

Essential (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience)

  • Previous experience commissioning large complex mechanical/electrical and process plants in the Water Industry.
  • Experience with a main contractor working on Water and Wastewater Process Engineering projects.
  • Must have experience of the commissioning process, commissioning plans, hazcoms, strategies, programmes, manuals etc. throughout the project life cycle.
  • Proven skills on commissioning projects from design to handover.
  • Relevant discipline engineering HNC or engineering apprenticeship with experience of commissioning in a multi-discipline environment.
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme or affiliation required for the project (CSCS Card).
  • Site management safety training scheme (SMSTS).
  • Knowledge of Standards, Safety Rules and Statutory Legislation required on the projects.

Qualifications

  • Relevant discipline engineering HNC or engineering apprenticeship with experience of commissioning in a multi-discipline environment.
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme or affiliation required for the project (CSCS Card).
