CMDP+ is looking for a Framework Security Manager to join our Southern Water Framework. MWH Treatment and Costain Group are part of the CMDP+ joint venture that will deliver a range of construction schemes to maintain and improve Southern Water’s water supply and wastewater treatment works within the South and Southeast regions. This is a hybrid role, working between multiple sites in the region – key locations, Southampton and Rochester.
Responsibilities
- Providing advice and guidance to the project teams in line with client security processes and relevant legislation.
- Conducting site Threat and Vulnerability Risk Assessments (TVRA) on relevant client sites and, where applicable, coordinate a program of additional security assessments by third‑party consultants/contractors.
- Scoping and assuring any initial security requirements and security upgrades that are compliant with the relevant client policies and standards.
- Implement an appropriate security audit and assurance programme within the project and the Costain supply chain, ensuring any actions or recommendations are resolved appropriately.
- Liaise and coordinate with client security team at local and regional level where required.
- Investigate security incidents and compile reports for internal stakeholders and the client.
- Liaise with police, external agencies and security suppliers on a regular basis.
- Conduct security briefings for CMDP+ staff and/or contractors.
- Implement and maintain a security awareness programme across the framework’s projects to ensure premises and assets are secure and people have up-to-date knowledge (e.g., on changed standards, increases or decreases in threat levels and the practical impact).
- Maintain systems with key data and provide monthly reports.
Knowledge and Experience
- Previous experience (5+ years) in a similar security role within regulated and/or CNI environments.
- Experience/understanding of risk management processes and conducting Threat and Vulnerability Risk Assessments (TVRA) and the Operational Requirements (OR) process.
- Knowledge of the integration of varied security disciplines at an operational level, such as perimeter protection, CCTV, access control, etc.
- Conducted security investigations.
- Auditing, assurance and compliance of security standards and policies and delivering security awareness programmes.
- Stakeholder management and establishing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively within a matrix organisation and providing security advice and guidance.
- Experience of collaboration with the police or other security agencies in delivering security or resilience.
Qualifications
- Relevant physical security qualifications which includes specialist security training (NPSA accredited / CPNI Pathway), or significant and demonstratable experience.
- Fully competent at using the appropriate company IT systems and office software.
- Full driving licence (max 3 points).
- A BPSS will be required (including DBS check) before taking the post.
